SIMS planned and emergency maintenance notifications

In order to continually update and maintain our Hosted Services environment with minimum disruption for our customers, we have allocated a scheduled, out of business hours, maintenance slot between 20:00 and midnight every Wednesday evening. We hope to be able to carry out a vast majority of scheduled maintenance within this window but should the need arise for any additional emergency maintenance, we will continue to advise you on this page in the usual manner.

Bromcom Issues / Planned Maintenance Issues / Planned Maintenance We have had reports from late Friday afternoon of schools not being able to send emails from the MIS. The messages show as sent but parents and students have not received them. From Bromcom's initial investigations, this looks to affect schools that use the Bromcom mail service. You can check if you use this service by going to Config > Setup > System Settings. If Bromcom SMTP Service is selected you are using the service. Bromcom will continue to provide updates on this. 10:15 - Update are currently working with our email supplier to bring the Bromcom mail service back online (this does not affect customers using their own mail service, eg Microsoft or Google). If you need to send any urgent messages please do so using SMS. . For clarity the following areas are affected; • Parents, Staff, and Students • Event Alerts • Referrals Behavior • Absence Alerts • Scheduled Report 10:55 Bromcom have now had confirmation from their email supplier that the mail service is back online. Any emails that were sent and not delivered are currently in the process of being delivered. It may take a couple of hours to clear this backlog. Further Details 26/9/2022 11:01 AM
