SIMS Support
You may have received a letter from a company offering SIMS installation and support.
Unfortunately the company were not aware that:
-
the Norfolk SIMS project rollout was complete
-
we have contracted with Capita following an EU procurement.
-
we have a hosted solution direct with Capita
-
and our contract model with schools covers licensing and support.
They have agreed not to pursue the letter any further.

Broadband Speeds
We have been advised by some secondary schools that they have been experiencing slow broadband speeds.
This has been raised as a priority one incident with BT and they are continuing their investigations. BT visited Cliff Park High school on 1st February 2012 where they witnessed slow speeds. We have subsequently spoken to other secondary schools who have confirmed that they also saw a reduction in speed from 14:15 to 14:35 on 1st February.
Whilst we currently have no answer as to why this occurred, BT are investigating further so that this can be resolved as soon as possible.
If you keep records of when you see reduced performance of your broadband connection and in particular if you experienced a reduction of speed between 14:15 to 14:35 on 1st February we would like to hear from you with any specific details of what happened at this time . Please email ict@norfolk.gov.uk
