Inspiring Schools to Enable Innovation in Learning
The ICT conference for 2012 is being run by NIEAS. Details as follows:
29th March 2012 (EPEF6 A)
9:00 am – 4:00 pm
John Innes Centre, Norwich
(£60 per person or send 2 delegates for £100)
Following announcements made by Michael Gove in January, this conference will provide the ideal opportunity to consider how ICT may need to develop in your school, making the most of the technologies you already have, but also look to the inspiring future technology and services. Norfolk Learners and organisations will showcase content, projects and other fabulous learning supported by ICT.
This year we are pleased to announce our keynote speaker is David Mitchell. David, known to most people as @DeputyMitchell on Twitter, is the Deputy Head Teacher at Heathfield Primary School in Bolton. Among his many achievements, David was awarded a NAACE Impact Award in 2011 for his work with pupils on creative and exceedingly well read blogging. David has also been using a wide range of ICT tools such as Audioboo to record his pupils’ achievements to share with the world.
The keynote will be followed by simultaneous breakout sessions involving Norfolk schools sharing their ICT achievements and outstanding practice, expert sessions from some of the ICT Suppliers, and also a session led by David Mitchell on how to get started with blogging.
