1. IMPORTANT INFORMATION: Microsoft Education Live Tour: 21st May 2019

In partnership with Norfolk County Council, The Microsoft Education Live Tour is coming to Norwich on 21st May 2019. The venue is Norwich City Football Club.

 

 

If you are a senior leader, teacher or student, we are excited to offer you a free opportunity to come and find out how devices and cloud technology can; empower student creators, bring lessons to life, enable and connect innovative teachers and improve collaboration in the classroom.

 

TRACK 1: Unlocking your school’s digital learning potential - for Senior Leadership Teams looking to get the most from technology in their schools. Time: 09.30 – 16:30

  • Overview by Microsoft: Current trends, topical issues and opportunities such as STEM, accessibility and inclusion
  • Journey to the Cloud Case Study: Hear from an educational institution about their journey to reduce teacher workload/CPD
  • Making the most of vendors: HP    
  • Getting your teachers ready: what is MEC?
  • How does Microsoft Cloud Education benefit my students and teachers? OneNote, Accessibility and inclusion 
  • Microsoft and the cloud: O365 and Teams focus
  • Microsoft Azure session: Azure evangelist Dan Baker shows his personal journey with Azure and how it can delight and inspire your students
  • Benefits to students and teachers: Personalised learning tools and Windows 10
  • Next steps and FAQs: Key actions you can take to accelerate your journey for your organisation, teachers and students.

 

TRACK 2: Experience Minecraft: Education Edition. Best for: Young people (Aged 7-11) A schoolteacher or guardian must be in attendance for this session. Due to venue restrictions we can only host 5 students per school. Time: 10:00–14:00

  • Experience Minecraft: Education Edition - BlockBuilders will be running their unique water cycle engagement workshops. Using an interactive Minecraft map, participants will not only learn about the water cycle, but get to explore it and become part of the virtual cycle whilst experiencing coding.

 

TRACK 3: Microsoft Training Academy. Train the trainer - Learn how to get the most from Microsoft 365 to drive better learning outcomes with resources for you to upskill your team. Best for: Teachers from schools, MATs and FE colleges. Time: 16:30-19:00

  • Teaching the teachers: helping you get the most from Microsoft 365. Actions, tips and tricks on Office 365 including Teams, Accessibility tools, OneNote, Forms.
