School Domain Names

All Norfolk schools and federations are entitled to have a domain ending in ".norfolk.sch.uk". This is the recommended domain for your school or federation and can be used for both your website and email. ".sch.uk" domains can only be registered by schools and so can be considered far more trustworthy than other types of domain which can be registered by anybody. ICT Solutions are happy to assist with the integration of your current website and your ".norfolk.sch.uk" domain.

Ordering a new .sch.uk domain name

To order a new .sch.uk domain name you will need to write to Nominet. The full details of what you need to send and the contact address can be found on their website: Nominet - Applying for a .sch.uk school domain.

ICT Solutions registrar tag is EDUCATIONICTSOL. You must provide this to Nominet.

How to transfer a domain name to a different registrar

If you want to transfer your domain to another registrar please contact the service desk from your school's head@ email address via ict@norfolk.gov.uk with details of the new registrar.  There is no charge to transfer your domain.
